First shasta daisy to bloom this year.  It bloomed on Mother's Day.  How appropriate.

Morning

Early morning and late afternoon are my favorite times of the day.  For the past couple of days, I have been waking up, making a cup of coffee and getting busy emailing schools.

Hope and Union

Every once in a while I like to take a long walk in downtown Charleston.  The weather is beautiful now and there are so many things to see.  One of my favorite places to stop before a long walk is Hope and Union , a modern coffee shop on St. Phillips St.

Jack

This is my brother, Jack who will be leaving for Rwanda, Africa in 5 days.    He has accepted a job with Living Water International, a company which helps communities acquire desperately needed clean water.  He will be in charge of maintaining wells in rural areas of Rwanda.  This is the job he has been working towards and the day has finally come!  You can see a video of what he will be doing here!

My mother was born and raised in Zimbabwe, Africa.  This is a photo of  Joyce (the one with the blue wool hat), the lady who took care of my mother.

Umtali, Africa

Jack taught for one year at an international school in Rwanda.
